Abstract

This study aims to analyze motivation, self-efficacy, job market considerations and tax brevet training on the career interests of undergraduate accounting students at STIE YKPN Yogyakarta in the field of taxation. This study uses primary data obtained from answers to a series of statements in the form of an online questionnaire to 87 accounting students at STIE YKPN Yogyakarta. The sample in this study was determined by purposive sampling with the criteria that accounting students have or are currently taking tax brevet training and have taken taxation courses. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that motivation, job market considerations and tax brevet training have an effect on the career interests of undergraduate accounting students at STIE YKPN Yogyakarta in the field of taxation. Meanwhile, self-efficacy has no effect on the career interests of accounting students at STIE YKPN Yogyakarta in the field of taxation.
