Abstract

This study wants to test and analyze comparisons between Generation X workers and Generation Z workers in facing the work from home system during the COVID-19 pandemic. The variables used are work discipline, work environment and burnout on employee performance and want to test the effect of work life balance in moderating these variables in strengthening or weakening the independent variables on the dependent variable. This study uses the SPSS test tool with the T test and MRA as a hypothesis test to determine the relationship between variables and the influence of moderating variables. The results obtained show that there are results that are supported for Generation X workers that burnout has a negative effect on employee performance and for Generation Z workers there are 2 supported variables that work discipline has a positive effect and burnout has a negative effect on employee performance. The results of the moderation test provide results that can weaken the effect of burnout on employee performance in Generation X and strengthen the effect of work discipline on employee performance in Generation Z.
